Here you may read stories from 1935 to 1953
For my RAF Years stories please click here . . . . . . and for my blog click here

On this site you can read anecdotes from my pre-RAF years, 1935-53, spent mainly in the West Riding of Yorkshire, by clicking on one of the items on the menu on the left.

Please bear in mind that there were very few personal photographs taken during the 1939-45 war. The pages also include some material, including images, since I retired to the West Riding in 2001.
The same menu follows you on almost every page so you will not get lost.
